P.E. and Sport Premium Grant

The government has provided the P.E. and Sport Premium grant to schools to enhance the quality of PE and sports activities. Schools must demonstrate how they are using the funds according to the Department for Education (DfE) guidelines:

• Develop or add to the PE and sport activities your school already offers.
• Make improvements now that will benefit pupils joining the school in future years.

The funding should be used to achieve improvements in the following areas:

• Engagement of all pupils in regular physical activity.
• Raising the profile of PE and sport across the school as a tool for whole-school improvement.
• Increasing confidence, knowledge, and skills of all staff in teaching PE and sport.
• Providing a broader experience of a range of sports and physical activities for all pupils.
• Increasing participation in competitive sports.
