Ludlow Junior School

Our Trustees

The trustees at Ludlow Junior School work exceptionally hard to support challenge and inspire the school’s leadership group – in line with the school’s mission statement. Whilst the governing body is currently quite a small group it has an excellent mix of relevant skills and is able to bring into focus professional knowledge in areas such as education, planning and commissioning, data review, buildings and site planning, ICT and IT infrastructure and good practice in policy development.

Trustees have an excellent track record in financial management and balance a prudent bank balance with sharp investment in the school, staffing and supporting the medium to long term vision. They work in very close partnership with the leadership team and are also keen to hear from staff and the wider community in order to validate viewpoints and check the overall direction of travel of Ludlow.

There is a really strong alignment between the trustees and the culture, values and ethos of the school and trustees continue to recruit new colleagues in order to keep sub committees and the full board vibrant and dynamic.

Annual reports from the trustees validate the progress that Ludlow is making and the annual audit reports reflect that, year on year, financial and business planning is robust and delivers on planned priorities well.

Trustees know the school well and participate in on site meetings and reviews as well as conducting on line meetings in order to pull in the best attendance from members. They form an essential part of the strategic planning framework for Ludlow and understand their overall role clearly.
